Mirriam Websters on line dictionary defines happy: enjoying or characterized by the well-being and contentment. Sounds good is not it? I know a secret that can lead to happiness. Now you may ask, what secret is it? It is a secret known, actually. Perform a random act of kindness by day.There is a field of psychology is relatively new. Search and designed primarily by the University of Pennsylvania professor and psychologist Martin Seligman, positive psychology is the scientific study of strengths and virtues that enable individuals and communities to prosper. According to the University of Pennsylvania site, positive psychology has three main concerns: positive emotions, positive individual traits, and positive institutions. Understanding positive emotions entails the study of satisfaction with the past, happiness in the present and hope for the future. Understanding positive individual traits consists of studying the strengths and virtues, such as the ability to love and work, courage, compassion, resilience, creativity, curiosity, integrity, self-knowledge, moderation, self control, and wisdom. Understanding positive institutions entails the study of meaning and purpose and the strengths that foster better communities, such as justice, responsibility, civility, parenting, dedication, work ethic, leadership, teamwork, purpose, and tolerance. Positive Psychology focuses on strengths and weaknesses, on building the best things in life as well as repair the worst. He says that the goodness of man and excellence are as authentic as the distress and disorder, that life means more than the defeat of problems. All these things can be summarized in one concept: giving can match a decent life, happiness.But say you’re probably wondering how. will review the relevant research, will we?
